Very good looking cupolas. I did have leaking issues with them, however:
1) Some leaking occured during the first winter – small cracks formed at the seams of the cupola. This was possibly due to the installation (may have been stressed or under some tension) or may be due to sun exposure and warping of the plastic material itself. Was an easy fix – I just went over the seams with silicone from the outside.
2) Both leaked (which actually damaged the paint of my shop ceiling) during wind-driven rain. I had a similar style cupolas on my previous shop/barn except they were smaller in size. They did not leak during any wind/rain. I think the bigger ones allowed the rain in between the louvers simply due to their larger size and bigger openings between louvers. I would redesign either the angle of the louvers or would simply make smaller gaps/openings between them. I had to install drip pans (cheap plastic kiddie pools) in the attic under the cupolas.
Overall happy with the look and the materials but watch out for wind-driven rain with the larger size cupolas.
